If there is a future for mankind, three things are certain: It will be technologically advanced, ecologically sustainable and humane.
“We live inside a gigantic clockwork, the solar system, and on the basis of the fixed stars humans have for aeons accurately calculated time. The emergence of architecture, mehcanical engineering, navigation, religious cult and subsequently philosophy and theoretical physics are all derived from the study of time. Gazing at the stars and taking measurements from their positions is the primordial technology of man, and ultimately time will also be the final frontier of science, when the minor problems of long distance space travel and ecological engineering have been solved.”

I am not saying Gaia is the only conscious entity in the universe, but in our limited sphere, the planet may be the only one who is doing any thinking. Humans, our rational thoughts as well as our mythology, is likely products of a global heurism, just as we are members on the larger organism.
Man must betray nature, before he can betray himself.
Mankind lost his ecological innocence long ago. A virginity lost cannot be recovered. Any solution to the current problem of global warming will increase the artificiality of the environment we inhabit. It is not something to be mourned. It is just the reality of our circumstances.
The great nations and the continents are the fabled Titans, the new gods of our ages. We heard of how they were buried under the Earth, how Gaia sent Typhoon to haunt men and gods in the old world under Jove. We heard nothing of how they escaped, except we must suspect Prometheus had a hand in this as well.
Never trust a culture with no decent folk music and poetry readings. Finger paint saves lives.
USA is the country, where poor people have a very remote chance of becoming rich, and this is supposedly the reason it is better than all other countries, and we must tolerate its rampage on Earth.
